Brituish 125cc GP rider Scott Redding has been announced as being on the shortlist for the BBC’s Young Sports Personality if the Year award.

Scott Redding won the 125cc GP at Donington this year and became the youngest rider to win a Grand Prix. The judging panel announced their initial list on Monday and will meet again on November 24th to reduce the list from 10 down to 3. The winner will be announced on December 14th.

Past winners include: Wayne Rooney, Andrew Murray, Jensen Button, Amy Spencer, Theo Walcott, Dean Macey.
