MCN are reporting that John Hopkins could be about to announce a move to World Superbikes for 2009.

With it looking more and more unlikely that the Kawasaki MotoGP team will find a rescue package fro 2009, Hopkins is rumoured to be considering a move to the Stiggy Honda Motorsports team to partner up with Leon Haslam. Haslam’s team-mate Roberto Rolfo is currently out of action with a dislocated shoulder, so if Hopkins took the seat it could probably be a cost effective option for the team as his wages would be largely covered by the sponsorship that he would bring.
