Motocuatro.com are reporting today that Héctor Barberá has reached an agreement with Jorge Martínez Aspar and will jump to the MotoGP class to ride the satellite Ducati that Aspar will be running in MotoGP for 2010.
It is also suggested that Aspar closed this agreement with Barbera when he learned that Alvaro Bautista had decided to sign a contract with Suzuki for 2010. Aspar had previously said that Bautista would be his first choice rider, but Bautista had also stated that he was not keen to jump to the premier class on a Ducati.
At present this is all rumour – but an official announcement is expected to come this weekend during the Czech GP.
