Bad news for Jorge Lorenzo who has injured his hand in a Motorcross accident and is ruled out of the second MotoGP testing session that takes place between February 25-26.

Lorenzo damaged his right hand by falling off a motocross bike at 30kmh on a training course just outside of Barcelona. A quick trip to the local hospital revealed that Lorenzo had fractured his first metacarpal and also caused some damage to his thumb.

Lorenzo had a small operation to insert a metal plate and has been instructed to rest the hand four to six weeks.
