Pol Espargaro made his intentions clear in the 125cc practice session in Le Mans today by clocking up the fastest time – just over half a second faster then second place Marc Marquez.

Britain’s Bradley Smith continued to struggle with engine troubles and was forced to retire after only 9 laps.
