Toni Elias claimed a stunning victory in the German Moto2 race.

Elias was bumped at the start of the race and dropped down the grid to find himself sitting outside of the top 10, as Gabor Talmacsi and Andrea Iannone stormed off with the lead. Elias quickly composed himself and started picking off riders one by one until he had Talmacsi firmly in his sights, and a few laps later he had managed to take Iannone and the lead.
