Repsol Honda livery for Aragon MotoGP [Photographs]

Repsol Honda don’t usually change their livery – but they did for this weekend’s MotoGP at Aragon.

The new, one-off design was by Spanish designer David Delfin, and it was said to be a homage to superheros, and amongst other things. ‘Human Cannonballs’.

It was eye-catching, that’s for sure. Can’t say we were big fans of it here.

Rossi and Hayden’s Ducati’s airlifted to mountain [Photograph]

Ever wonder how they get those expensive Ducati bikes to the top of that snowy mountain for those photo shoots?

Helicopter, of course. Economic crises be damned……

This is a photo of Rossi’s and Hayden’s Ducatis being airlifted and dropped on the top of the mountain at the Ducati Wrooom event.

This stunning picture was captured by Martin Heath and shows one of the clashes that Lorenzo and Rossi had in their stunning battle that produced some of the best racing we’ve seen in MotoGP for months.

Photograph of Valentino Rossi’s Yamaha loading up and sliding out of control just before he was highsided off the bike and fractured his leg in the Saturday Free Practice at Mugello.

Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis told the BBC:
“We have a contractual obligation to [run the bike]. At some point, once we know Valentino’s period of recovery, then we’ll decide what to do for a replacement. It’s a sad day for the sport, a sad day for the fans. It’s the worst injury of Valentino’s career.”

Jarvis went on to say that he had been to see Valentino in the medical center:

“Obviously he was a little sedated when I saw him, because of the pain he was in. Then they flew him to hospital, and he will be operated on this afternoon.”

Amazing composite photograph of Valentino Rossi on the corkscrew at Laguna Seca

We recently posted a composite photograph of James Toseland on the corkscrew at Laguna Seca. We now have one of Valentino Rossi carving his way through the corkscrew on the Sunday morning practice session.

This is a stunning composite photographic sequence showing James Toseland carving the turns through Laguna Seca’s corkscrew. It was taken during the Sunday warm up session and really shows the 120 foot descent.
