As well as the new bike livery that the Fiat Yamaha team will be running in Estoril, Jorge Lorenzo is also riding with new leather and helmet designs. As well as the on track rivalry, Lorenzo seems to be competing with Rossi on who can come up with the most original helmet designs.
Lorenzo’s helmet design celebrates the 40th anniversary of man’s first steps on the moon – the helmet design includes Neil Armstrong’s famous quote “That’s one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind” on the back, with a photo of his footprint on the surface of the moon.
