Nico Terol claimed his second back to back victory of the season by winning the 125cc race in Jerez.

Terol was challenged for much of the second half of the race by his team-mate Hector Faubel, with both riders changing positions on a regular basis. Disaster struck for Faubel at the very end of the race when he lost control of his bike when turning into a right hand turn and slid out into the dirt, handing the advantage to Terol.

The damp and slippy conditions caused a number of crashes for many experienced riders, including Sando Cortese, and Sergio Gadea.
