Andrea Iannone put on yet another hard-charging perfromance to come from 11th on the grid to take victory in Jerez. Thomas Luthi made a strong start but didn’t have enough in order to hold off Iannone once he had caught up with the leading riders.

Much like the 125cc race before it, there were plenty of riders who failed to finish, including Jules Cluzel who managed to take out Marc Marquez after missing his breaking point and running into the the back of Marquez, much to the fury of he Spanish fans.
